Fertility Treatment Costs
The cost for fertility treatments and fertility drugs are a significant concern for many patients struggling with infertility. Across the US, there is a lot of variation in what is covered and what is left for the patient to pay. Costs for fertility testing and treatment can also vary significantly between different clinics.
The prices you'll see in the table below are self-pay / cash pay (i.e., the cost if a patient is paying 100% out of pocket). However, Illinois is a mandated state, meaning certain employers are required to provide coverage of infertility treatment. As a result, many of our patients may have some level of coverage for their fertility services. We partner with several major insurance carriers and offer additional financing plans. If you have financial questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Beware of Low Cost IVF Clinics
Low cost IVF clinics or “cheap IVF” clinics will sometimes be attractive to patients in a self pay situation. However, the cheapest IVF is not always the best option.
- The goal is not to do IVF, it is to have a baby
- If a clinic charges only ~$6,000 for IVF, that is significantly lower than the average price
- If the clinic's success rates are low and it takes multiple cycles to have a baby, this may not result in any cost savings
Consumers of infertility and IVF services should consider doing research on the costs for in vitro fertilization and the live birth success rates at any clinic that they are considering.
